Mobile Clinic

The Shinnong Mobile Clinic program began in 2006. The major goal of this project is to provide Asian medical examinations, counseling, treatment, information on prevention of diseases, and much more. Dr. Yoo purchased a van and established a mobile health care program to expand his community outreach in both the urban and rural areas of Los Angeles County in Southern California. Dr. Yoo has had over 40 years of clinical experience treating medical conditions that include various types of pains, sports injuries, and diseases with Asian medicine.

The Mobile Clinic program will assist in assessing and treating patients on location and will strive to improve the speed with which treatment can begin for patients. As a result, these individuals have much improved recovery periods due to early medical evaluations and treatments.

There are many working people who lead busy modern lifestyles and cannot seem to find the time to visit their health care providers. These individuals may have been suffering from pain or diseases. Consequently, they delay seeking help, and their problems become far too serious. Serious problems can be prevented if they receive medical attention at an earlier stage. 

With this in mind, Dr. Yoo decided to initiate the Shinnong Mobile Clinic. It is a white van well- equipped with the latest medical equipment and supplies for providing medical checkups, treatments, and more. The Shinnong Mobile Clinic staff includes an Asian medical practitioner who provides vital health care alongside other experienced staff members. They are dedicated to improving the health and quality of lives for their patients, some of whom are athletes.     

The Shinnong Mobile Clinic van also ventures out on the road to deliver regular medical checkups and treatments to the individuals or to those who have made annual medical contracts with churches, corporations, and various sports associations/organizations.  To his knowledge, Dr. Yoo is the first in the state of California to have initiated the Mobile Clinic program of Asian Medicine.

The Shinnong Mobile Clinic program also provides a pre-event sports massage program and acupuncture treatments. When Dr. Yoo, as an invited Asian medical practitioner, is out on the field for sports events, he has a pre-event sports massage program that helps prevent sports injuries. His pre-event massage is given before each event in order to improve performance and help decrease the risk of injuries. This program helps each athlete to develop a good mental condition, which prepares the player to perform well in the competition. Dr. Yoo also gives acupuncture treatments on site to those who incur non life-threatening injuries during the events.
